♥♥♥ EVENTS FOR APRIL 2019! ♥♥♥

Toronto's QUEER Slowdance! - PROM Edition!

RSVP HERE IF YOU LIKE: https://www.facebook.com/events/851359038542013/

With a lending library of designated dancers for all you wallflowers, and a dancecard-booklet to set up dances in advance (should you choose to), Toronto Queer Slowdance has all slow songs, all night long! (Except for the occasional intermission when we play the fastest songs we can find!)

It's high school with a happy ending. Come and experience why slow is beautiful, and why love is not ironic.

PS. Fabulous and inspired attire, while desired, is not required. But it would be AWESOME and HAWT. And as this is our "PROM" edition - dress to impress! It's a great chance to wear the duds you don't have the opportunity to wear anywhere else!

Finally, you do not have to be queer to attend this party, but you must have an open mind, an open heart, and have open arms. Do keep in mind that many of our attendees fall within the LGBTTQIA continuum and may or may not be interested in dancing with the "opposite" sex, so if you are stridently straight, this may not be the most receptive community for you. That said, we have a wide plethora of attendees, and it is impossible to know who might show up on any given night.

Stand-Up Comedy Karaoke!

RSVP HERE IF YOU LIKE: https://www.facebook.com/events/420177082079417/

Just like regular karaoke, you can sign-up to come up on stage and do a famous comedian's most famous 5-minute bit. A monitor in front of you will feed you lines, and you can see if you have what it takes to kill the audience with laughter!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an experimental event. It might be a delight or a disaster. You may love or loathe being in front of an audience. And for those who are watching, while this is ostensibly comedy, it might not actually be funny. It will however, be fascinating.

ONE NIGHT EVER!

★★★

Mainline Theatre
3997 Blvd. St-Laurent
(Just south of Duluth on the East side of the street)

Thursday, April 18th, 2019
Doors at 8:30, karaoke from 9 PM to midnight.
$10 admission.

Regretfully, the Mainline Theatre is not wheelchair-accessible. There is a single step through a glass door into the stairwell, and then there are 12 steps from there up to the theatre floor. There are 3 single-stall gender-neutral bathrooms on the premises, but none accomodate wheelchair-users.
