Maybe you read them over and over again with one hand. Maybe those pages grew wrinkled. Over 90 minutes, 5 readers will read - sight unseen - hilarious and titillating sexcerpts from famous literary works. Maybe one of the sexcerpts will be the first naughty bit YOU ever encountered.

We are very proud to be part of Montreal's Blue Metropolis Literary Festival this year! And our readers will be plucked from their stellar lineup of internationaly-acclaimed authors!

♥♥♥ EVENTS FOR MAR 2018! ♥♥♥

Montreal FAMOUS SPEECH KARAOKE at the CCA for Nuit Blanche -- MARCH 3, 2018

RSVP HERE: https://www.facebook.com/events/168536390436287/

Yes, for Nuit Blanche Montreal this year I have teamed up with the CCA (Canadian Center for Architecture) to do a very weird event where we take excerpts from a variety of famous televised speeches and offer them up for people to read aloud to a crowd! It will be a first come, first served sort of situation, like actual karaoke. We go starting from 10 PM to probably 1 or 2 AM depending on demand.

Montreal Strip Spelling Bee! - Insane Gown Posse Edition -- MARCH 9, 2018

RSVP HERE: https://www.facebook.com/events/166386667478606/

WARNING: There may be nudity in this show.

The game is played a lot like strip poker, but it's a spelling bee, and it's played in front of a live audience of hooters, hollerers and hecklers who want to see some smart and sexy skin!

As this is our Insane Gown Posse edition, we encourage contestants and audience members to wear gowns. Any contestant who comes in costume, whether half-assed or high-end, will be looked upon more favourably by the judges.

We are also taking contestant sign-ups in advance! But we are limiting early sign-ups to HALF of the allotted ten spellers. Email inconsolablecat@hotmail.com with GOWNBEE in the subject line if you are i
nterested in signing up early!
......

Saturday, March 9, 2018
Mainline Theatre
3997 Blvd. St-Laurent
(Just south of Duluth - look for the sign with flames painted on it!)

Contestant sign-up at 8:30 PM sharp!
Bee from 9 to midnight
$10 at the door.
(Contestants do not pay cover and get a free drink!)

Please note that we must cap our number of strip-spellers at 10 to ensure an expedient and entertaining evening.

Regretfully, The Mainline is not wheelchair-accessible, as it is up a steep flight of 14 stairs.

Toronto Queer Slowdance at the Gladstone Hotel - Divas Edition! - MARCH 10, 2018

RSVP HERE: https://www.facebook.com/events/2156871114541721/

With a lending library of designated dancers for all you wallflowers, and a dancecard-booklet to set up dances in advance (should you choose to), Toronto Queer Slowdance has all slow songs, all night long! (Except for the occasional intermission when we play the fastest songs we can find!)

It's high school with a happy ending. Come and experience why slow is beautiful, and why love is not ironic.

PS. Fabulous and inspired attire, while desired, is not required. But it would be AWESOME and HAWT. As this is our DIVAS edition, you are encouraged to dress to impress as a DIVA in something festive and formal, whatever that means to y
ou!

Also, as this is our DIVAS edition, 90% of the music selected for the night will be from incredible DIVAS, both past and present.

Finally, you do not have to be queer to attend this party, but you must have an open mind, an open heart, and have open arms. Do keep in mind that many of our attendees fall within the LGBTTQIA continuum and may or may not be interested in dancing with the 'opposite' sex, so if you are stridently straight, this may not be the most receptive community for you.

We are always looking for designated dancers for our evenings. If you are outgoing, warm, and willing to undertake the very serious duty and responsibility of inviting wallflowers out onto the dancefloor - if in fact, such a prospect gives you great joy - then please contact the organizers at inconsolablecat@hotmail.com.

Thank you SO MUCH for coming out and supporting quirky events! We can only continue to put on these intimate and odd experimental events because you come out and you tell your friends what wacky thing you did over the weekend and they were intrigued enough to come to the next one. So thank you.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

CHAT PERDU PRODUCTIONS creates stimulating, quirky, and all-natural events in Montreal & Toronto. We like to put on events that are participatory and lovely. Rather than ironic cool, we are after cat-belly warm. We like it when the people who "attend" are also the people who "perform". We see events as little experiments. We don't know what will happen & we do them to find out. The ultimate goal of everything is for folks to forge new friendships & to make life a little less lonely & manifestly more lovely. LESS LONELY! MORE LOVELY! Take a chance on a Chat Perdu event!
