♥ QUIRKY EVENTS for APRIL-MAY! - Slowdances, Strip Spelling Bees! ♥

Hello lovelies! So this has been a crazy time for me. Lots of news. So much so I am going to break them down into bullet points, even though that's very stiff shirt and PowerPointish.

* I've started to Instagram! I resisted it for a long time. It took me years just to get used to Facebook. But there you go. If you are on instagram, grab me on the 'gram right here! (Isn't that what the kids say these days?)

*I am bringing Queer Slowdance back to Montreal for a special event! People have asked me over the years why I do a MIXED Slowdance in Montreal, but a QUEER Slowdance in Toronto. It's because when I had them segregated in Montreal, I couldn't get enough of either group out to pay the venue rental fee. So I combined them, and that worked in bringing enough people out to make the night work. But the last Montreal Queer Slowdance was 3 years ago. I'm ready to try it again. If you have queer friends in Montreal, please let them know about it!

* I was just in Austin, Texas! The Fusebox Performance Art Festival brought me down to enact a Cardboard Fort Night event! Extended Play Journal interviewed me about it, and you can watch a 2-minute clip of what it was like to walk through the event right here!

* A couple weeks ago we had our Toronto Queer Slowdance PROM edition and Bryanna Reilly was once again our lovely photographer, and here are the awesome shots she took!

* I have a saucy event in Montreal that I have teamed up with the Blue Metropolis Literary Festival to enact called the Naughty Bits Book Club, and it's a reading of all the scandalous bits you might have encountered in various works of literature growing up. We are blessed to have the multiple award-winning Ann-Marie MacDonald as one of our readers, as well as Canada's current Poet Laureate, George Elliott Clarke! Holy shit.

* Finally, I have started a Patreon Page! Patreon is basically ongoing crowdfunding, and I started it in order to keep admission prices stable to my events. I am always fighting rising venue rental and other costs, and if you like my events, please consider tipping me a few bucks every month. It helps me continue bringing quirky events to you. PLUS, if you donate $5 or more, you get access to my event planning podcast, "Late-Onset Awesome", where I go over all the steps of putting on quirky events. First episode is already up, and I also go over the finer points of every individual event I have ever put on. Later on, I will begin interviewing all the other event-producers I know about their events! Please consider dropping us a few bucks if these events have ever touched you. It will help us greatly to keep being the strange we want to see in the world.

thanks for reading! and thank you for subscribing.
