QUIRKY EVENTS for FEBRUARY!

Black heart (cards)  EVENTS FOR FEB 2016! Black heart (cards)

★★★ MONTREAL STRIP SPELLING BEE - KITTENS Edition! ★★★
FEBRUARY 4

RSVP HERE: https://www.facebook.com/events/747996165330626/

WARNING: There may be nudity in this show.

The game is played a lot like strip poker, but it's a spelling bee, and it's played in front of a live audience of hooters, hollerers and hecklers who want to see some smart and sexy skin!
As this is our KITTENS edition, any contestant who comes in costume, whether half-assed or high-end, will be looked upon more favourably by the judges.
We are also taking contestant sign-ups in advance! But we are limiting early sign-ups to HALF of the allotted ten spellers. Email inconsolablecat@hotmail.com with XDRESSBEE in the subject line if you are interested in signing up early!

Black heart (cards)Black heart (cards)Black heart (cards) You are cordially invited to MONTREAL SLOWDANCE! Red Hearts Run Free Edition! Black heart (cards)Black heart (cards)Black heart (cards)

With a lending library of designated dancers for all you wallflowers, and a dancecard-booklet to set up dances in advance (should you choose to), Montreal Slowdance has all slow songs, all night long! (Except for the occasional intermission when we play the fastest songs we can find!)

It's high school with a happy ending. Come and experience why slow is beautiful, and why love is not ironic.

This event is MIXED and for EVERYONE: queer, straight, bi, poly, non-gender-binaried, those who identify as Complicated and those who are Late-Onset Awesome.

PS. Fabulous and inspired attire, while desired, is not required. But it would be AWESOME and HAWT. Since this is our Red Hearts Run Free edition, you should feel free to dress all fancy-like, whatever that means to you, if you are so inclined. With maybe a hint of red somewhere.

With a lending library of designated dancers for all you wallflowers, and a dancecard-booklet to set up dances in advance (should you choose to), Toronto Queer Slowdance has all slow songs, all night long! (Except for the occasional intermission when we play the fastest songs we can find!)

It's high school with a happy ending. Come and experience why slow is beautiful, and why love is not ironic.

PS. Fabulous and inspired attire, while desired, is not required. But it would be AWESOME and HAWT. Since this is our Valentine's edition, you are encouraged to wear your most dapper, delightful and delicious outfits, with a hint of red.

Finally, you do not have to be queer to attend this party, but you must have an open mind, an open heart, and have open arms. Do keep in mind that many of our attendees fall within the LGBTTQ continuum and may or may not be interested in dancing with the 'opposite' sex, so if you are stridently straight, this may not be the most receptive community for you.

If you know of folks who like these weird events and who might want to subscribe to this newsletter, please send them this link: http://eepurl.com/QHnpb

This email list will become more and more important because every month, Facebook is REDUCING the number of invites I can personally send to folks on my friends list. They are reducing it every month because they are trying to turn a profit with their PAGES system, where they charge you so that your posts will show up in people's feeds. Already I have Facebook friends who aren't getting invites. I don't begrudge Facebook trying to turn a profit, but it's disappointing when they purposefully take away features and abilities to then try to charge you for them somewhere else.

Thanks to you for being part of this email list! It helps a lot!

Thank you SO MUCH for coming out and supporting quirky events this past year! We can only continue to put on these intimate and odd experimental events because you come out and you tell your friends what wacky thing you did over the weekend and they were intrigued enough to come to the next one. So thank you.
