So, I have three events for May. I hope you can come out to any or all of them!

(1) The first one on May 20th, Porn Karaoke, is an experiment. It's just weird. It involves 70's funk music playing while porn is projected, and people take to the microphones and simulate sex sounds. Grunts, groans, oohs and ahhs. And here are the complete details! Friday, May 20th. Doors at 9:30. Karaoke starts at 10 PM The Mainline Theatre. 3997 Boul. St-Laurent (just south of Duluth on the e. side. Look for the black door with flames on it) $10 at the door $5 if you sign up to ‘sing’. 18+ Regretfully, the Mainline Theatre is not wheelchair-accessible.

(2) On May 21st we are teaming up with Montreal's Meow Mix to put on our Spring Queer Slowdance! This is always a huge lovely party and we are happy to collab. Here is the event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=128434053901387

(3) Finally, on May 28th, we are returning to Toronto to put on our Early Summer Slowdance Night! This will be a more mixed crowd than our usual Queer Slowdances. Going forward, we are hoping to do one Slowdance Night in Toronto a month, alternating between queer and straight. Of course all our events are both queer and straight-friendly, that is strictly enforced, but we've found with Slowdance Nights that sometimes it helps to separate queers and straights. Two Events Coming Up in April 2011!

So I have two events coming up in April!

One is a regular event (though none are ever regular) at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in Toronto:
Strip Spelling Bee on April 22 in Toronto. Yes, that is Good Friday. We aim to make it Great Friday.

Hello everybody!
Welcome to JaneSheIsAClerk.

This won't really be a blog, per se.
That is, there won't be any long talks about my feelings.
It's because I don't have any.

That was a joke.

Actually, I have a lot of feelings.
I feel for everything, but feelings are
very overwhelming, so I don't talk too much about them
these days. I just feel them.

Anyway, this blog is mostly going to be about events!

For a little while now I've been putting on
weird events.

They're weird because they're very participative.
They're the kinds of events that I would like to go to myself.
I guess I am a little weird.

In some cases I ask people to come and do potentially
embarassing things. But because we're all coming to do them,
I'm hoping that people won't feel too embarassed.
Or if they're embarassed, at least they're all embarassed together.
Which is the best kind of embarassment.

My events aren't really about being witty or cool.
They're about being warm and straightforward.

I've got some coming up!
I'm hoping you will consider coming.
